Warning: like other chippers, this one is not designed to grind grass, single leaves, or pine needles. It is instead suitable for shredding branches, possibly with leaves or other attached vegetation.

Some usage recommendations:

Shred fresh branches, not dry ones, as the latter can reduce cutting capacity and damage the blades. Preferably, branches should be long and regular. Knotty branches reduce cutting capacity. The maximum cutting diameter is a threshold value; for larger branches, a chipper with a higher capacity is recommended. Cutting capacity varies depending on the hardness of the wood, and hard woods like oak or olive can reduce the efficiency of the chipper.
