Agricultural drainers – also known as subsoilers – are fundamental machines in the agricultural landscape, as they allow you to optimize the drainage of cultivated land and prevent waterlogging. When these tools are attached to a tractor, the operation allows you to create precise drainage channels in the soil, thus facilitating the runoff of excess water and reducing the risk of water accumulation harmful to crops. This procedure is particularly effective in those soils that, due to heavy rainfall or the presence of a marked water table, are more exposed to waterlogging problems.
There are different types of these machines, each designed to meet specific needs. For example, the 1-shank tractor drainer is characterized by the presence of a single shank, making it ideal for drainage interventions on medium-sized land and for tractors with lower power. Conversely, the 2-shank tractor drainer offers greater operational efficiency, as thanks to the two shanks it is able to simultaneously create two drainage channels in a single pass, making it particularly suitable for more powerful tractors and for work on extensive land.
